輪島特産の珪藻土を蒸し焼きにした「輪島地の粉」を漆に混ぜて、一辺地、二辺地、三辺地と塗り重ねることで、輪島塗はとても丈夫な漆器となります。
「布着せ」や「地縁引き」などの細やかな配慮を積み重ね、上質の漆を何層にも塗り重ねることで、輪島塗の深い艶やかさ、永年の使用に耐える丈夫さが生まれます。

Mix "the Wajima base powder" which baked diatomaceous earth made specially in Wajima with urushi, use the mixed paint as for the Wajima lacquering technique over and over in order to make the lacquer ware strong.
Deep elegance of the Wajima lacquering technique and enduring long-time use, is because use the good-quality urushi to paint on several levels and repeat warm consideration such as "Nunokise" and "Jibujibiki".

塗りの最後の工程が上塗。経験をいかして、ひとつひとつ丁寧に塗り上げ、お客様に喜んでいただきたいと思っています。

The final coating is the last process of the coating. He makes use of experience and finish painting it carefully one by one and think that I want a visitor to please.

作業工程説明
Final coating

ごみとり刷毛で細かなチリを払い、渡し刷毛で適量の漆を荒付けしてから、仕上げ刷毛で仕上げ塗りをする。そして、作業中に付着したチリやほこりは、鳥の羽軸や竹棒で丹念に拾い上げ、漆が垂れないように回転風呂で反転させながら乾燥させる。

POINT：
① 上塗で使用する刷毛は人間の髪の毛。
② 上塗はほこりを嫌うので、上塗師以外の出入りはなるべく避ける。③ 漆の乾燥は湿度で堅くしまる。

First to use a small removes brush to take off the dust, do the finish coat with a finish brush after painting with the urushi of the appropriate amount by a brush rudely. And pick up the dust which attached during work with a shaft of a quill of the bird or a bamboo stick carefully and dry it while reversing it in a turn bath not to have lacquer dripping.

POINT:
1. The brush to use by final coating is hair of the human being.
2. Because the final coating dislike dust, so the final coating studio　　 avoids the person except the Uwanuri craftsman.
3. The urushi drying is firm with the humidity firmly
