木地工房

漆器づくりの最初の工程です。ロクロ挽きでお椀などの木地をつくる「椀木地師」。極薄の木地は明かりが透けて見えるほどに繊細です。	It is the first process made with lacquerware. "The wooden bowl craftsman" who makes the bare wood on a potter's wheel. The ultrathin bare wood is delicate so that a light is transparent.

何年間も寝かした椀の荒型を燻煙乾燥で水分をぬく、24％ある水分を自然乾燥と人工乾燥で交互行い5％まで下げる。あとは自然乾燥で7～8％に戻す、この状態の木地は初めて製品に仕上げる事ができる。

作業は轆轤（ロクロ）を使い、微妙な力加減により、カンナで木地を薄く引いていく。特にカンナは椀木地師が鍛冶道具を使い全部自分で作る。道具が作れて、初めて椀木地職人になれるという。

A product can finish the bare wood which is in this state to return to 7-8% moisture by natural drying afterward for the first time.

Moving the angles of canna to sharpen the wood bowl with a potter's wheel. A wooden bowl craftsman all makes the plane with oneself with Kaji tool. When people can make a tool, and it is said that can become a wooden bowl bare wood craftsman for the first time.
